Gateway to Women's History
Welcome!
The Gateway to Women's History is an online site providing electronic access to primary source materials from the Woman's Collection at Texas Woman's University. Visitors can access photographs, documents, pamphlets, menus, programs, catalogs, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, photographs, negatives, artifacts, clothing, textiles, and descriptive records of all our manuscript collections. Rare books, ephemera, and memorabilia are also available for your viewing.A preeminent research center on women's history, the Woman's Collection was established in 1932. The collection represents the best concentration of resources on women in Texas, the Southwest, and throughout the United States. The records range from nationally known collections to stories of women who led quiet domestic lives. Other items featured in the Woman's Collection include books, periodicals, oral histories, microforms, maps, and posters.
